Conclusion
1) The cut-in speed for helical VAWT was observed to be 8.5 m/s where it began to generate 10 mW and the cut-out speed was set as 12 m/s, after when the turbine rotated violently.
2) For an experimental setup the turbine was successful, it was operational; however it had poor efficiency due to having several manufacturing defects.
3) Acrylic blades should not be used for practical application as they have poor mass moment of inertia resulting in poor torque.
4) UC205-16 bearings used in the turbine are not frictionless, which causes hurdle in turbine rotation.
